In 2016 I decided to enter one of the most competitive racing series in the UK, The Production BMW Championship. Out of 46 cars which entered in our first season we managed to finish 9th overall. With a little better luck and without a couple of engine failures 6th place was feasible. In 2017 we will be completing in the Product BMW Championship, but this time with an extra years’ experience of racing rear wheel drive – front engine cars !
In 2011 I went on to enter the Nippon Championship where by I raced a Toyota Celica GT200. During 2011 – 2013 we managed to win most races in the class including the championship. This championship had a mix of cars with the same BHP range. In this class we competed against car such as Nissan Skylines, Mitsubishi Evo’s and alike.
I entered into the MR2 Championship in 2006 which I competed in until 2011. We had a number of successful wins at tracks such as Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Mallory and Castle Combe to name just a few. The MR2 Championship was a 1 make, 1 model class so all cars were the same, with close competitive racing.
I started racing cadet Karts in 1986 over 30 years ago at the age of 8 years old. I competed in multiple rounds in the British Championship racing alongside the likes of Jenson Button, Anthony Davison and Daniel Wheldon. After 14 years of competing in various classes from Cadets to Senior 125 Rotax I decided to start salon car racing.
